Good place with great amenities like free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and air conditioning. The staff were wonderful, especially when they helped my elderly parents during our first stay. Highly recommend for a comfortable visit!

Everything, the staff were exellent, from airport pickup to checkout, we felt so welcomed to the hotel, home from home. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are modern and comfortable, and is in an exellent location. Mr hung is such a nice man, as are all the staff, he will help with tours, onward travel, and always there for a friendly chat. Definately stay again.

Good place with great amenities like free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and laundry. On my first stay, the staff helped me recover a valuable item, which I remember fondly. Plus, they provided fantastic information throughout my stay. I'll always return for my trips!

Our stay at camel city was amazing! The hotel itself is fine - quite dated but it's the same with most places like this in Vietnam. The staff were the best thing thing about the hotel. Seemed to take a genuine interest in what you were up to and give advice on where to go (and where not). Second best thing was the breakfast every morning. Plenty of food cooked in front of you finished with fresh fruit. For the price we paid I was extremely surprised! Fast wifi too...

The room was outdated repair. The room had a window, but it came out to nowhere. The room is very poor lighting

The location is ideal for exploring the Old Quarter.
The bathroom had persistent plumbing issues that created an unpleasant odor. The noise from the streets was noticeable, hard to get a restful night's sleep. Lastly, there were issues with the wi-fi, and at times it was annoyingly slow.

Great location right in the heart of the Old Quarter but in a quiet road so not noisy at night. The staff were very friendly an d can arrange tours.... Although you might pay slightly more. I we paid $15 per night. The rooms are simple but clean but ours had no safety deposit box. When we came back from a trip to find the hotel full, and they personal ally took us to a hotel they knew on their bikes and endured we were happy to stay..... Great service which is hard to find in Hanoi. Would stay again as location is great. Breakfasts basic but nice. Overall a great experience.
We paid a little more for our tour than others on the same trip.... Around $15 more each. But trip was good.

What we like most are the location and the value of staying there.
The rooms are a bit small but that's what you paid for.

Here's what works, and what doesn't
The heartfelt dedication of the staff shines through, especially Linda's really good care. The location is perfect, tucked away from the chaotic streets of the Old Town.
Space in the family room felt cramped for four with luggage,, requiring careful organization.

We liked the location of the hotel.
We had booked for one night because the booking system would not let us modify the reservations to 2 nights. Upon arrival we asked if we could have an extra night. The staff said they had the deluxe room which was more expensive. They said it would be easier for us to take this one as we would not need to move again. We had just arrived on the overnight bus and were tired and didn't feel like finding another hotel. Staff were also very pushy to sell tours. They kept asking us what we were doing. They always wanted to know what our plans were. We don't mind being asked once but not continuously.

The superior queen room I was given was complete with lovely back lighting in the bedroom, nice French styled windows, for instance. I had a very very good breakfast, it was included and featured toast, jam and eggs.

Strong musky smell in the bathroom could be unpleasant!!! Poor bathroom cleanliness and low water pressure left much to be desired!!! Staff should check room conditions before guest arrival!!!

Friendly stuff and great service, we just booked for one night stay but we borrowed their bath room and allow us to put luggage over there and we can go to SAPA.

Helpful staff, assisting with day trip arrangements and translating when needed. Fresh pastries for breakfast added a good touch to the mornings, and the cozy location close to Hanoi's Old Quarter made sightseeing accessible. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, and occasional street noise might disturb light sleepers. Some maintenance issues, like low water pressure, were noted, impacting the overall comfort.
